このエントリーを書こうと思って「下書き」に保存してから、気づいたらもう1年経っちゃってた！！！！
はや〜〜〜〜っっ
ってことで、タイトルは去年KGが私の心を打った感動的な言葉 ー いくら個人が才能あっても実力あっても優勝リングは手に入らない。リングを取らなければいくら個人成績がスゴくても意味がない。それがチームスポーツ。長年弱小チームで辛酸を舐めたKGが遂に頂点に立ち、優勝リングを10コ以上持つボストンの偉大なカリスマ、Bill Russellに何度も繰り返した「I got my own」が、今ビデオ見ても、この言葉だけ思い出しても胸がじーんとなる ー そして今年はDwight Howard率いるOrland Magicが優勝確実視されていたLeBron JamesのCavsを下して西の王者、Kobe率いるLakersと頂点を競う。
あまりスポーツは見ないのだけど、アメリカに来てからNBAだけはす〜〜〜ごく好きになった。要因はプレーヤーのPhysicalなカッコ良さが主ではあるが、何よりの魅力は、他のスポーツにも共通していると思われるけどやはり"人生の縮図"が、あの50×94ftのコートで、2mの大男たちによって、ものすごい早さで展開されること。NBAを観戦しながらいつも、コートの上で起こっていることと、組織やプロジェクトで起こっていることがオーバーラップする、それが面白い。NBAは日本ではあまり放映されないので盛り上がらないから魅力を伝えられないのが残念・・・身体＆気質的に日本人はバスケに向いてる民族じゃないのでこのスポーツ自体が日本人に馴染みが薄いのもザンネンなこと。狩猟民族のスポーツですね。
きのうMagicに負けたLeBronはいたたまれなかった。さいごのほうではもう何かが切れてしまっていた気がした。破れた要因はいろいろあるだろうけど、やっぱりCavsはLeBronひとりに依存し過ぎた、結果ナンバーワンが最も疲れてしまった。野球だってサッカーだって、チームスポーツはなんでもそうだけど、結局「一人」が頑張れても全体が大きなパワーにならないということ・・・これって仕事も同じだと思う。去年KGだけがストイックに頑張ったって絶対にLakersに勝てなかった。確固たるナンバーワンに必要なのはそれをサポートできるナンバー2。Kobeを支えるPau GasolがいるLakersに去年ボストンが勝てたーKG、Paul Pierce、Ray Allenのナンバーワン、ツーをやれるプレーヤーがいて、それ以外のナンバー3が1、2を助けた全体力だった。昨晩のMagicもそうで、Dwightを支える周りの出来が良すぎたのと、LeBronの周りが出来なすぎた。
Kobeが成熟して周りの力を引き出せる選手になったと言われているけど、ほんとにそうだと思う。何年か前はホント〜にLakersを出たがっていたのに、今ではLakersを率いる＝チームメイトを活かせる選手にまでなった。LeBronはまだ若いし経験が浅いからKobeにはまだまだなれてないのに、今年のプレーオフ・ファイナルはKobe vs LeBron だと周りが騒ぎ過ぎたのかも。自分だけでなく、周りさえも伸ばせる、それが真の一流なんだと、改めて昨晩は考えさせられた。KGやKobeのように、一流は努力を惜しまず成熟する。昨晩の負けで、きっとLeBronも違う一面を持って、来年プレーオフに戻ってくると信じたいと思った。（でもチームメンバーが来年はだいぶ変わるみたいなので、どうなるかわかんないけどね）
この小説のすごいところは、まず、物語すべて筆者の脳内で描かれた絵だというところ。「藩」は実在しない脳内藩で、景色も、人物も、歴史を調べ上げて描かれたものではなく、すべて脳内作業！でもその描写がはっきりとわたしの脳内に絵を持ってきてくれる。これ前にNHKでドラマ化してて、その時の配役が、又左衛門が佐藤浩市、忠兵衛が仲村トオルだったらしいのだけど（これね）その配役が頭の中から消えておのれの（想像）配役が勝手にできあがるほど引き込まれた。藤沢小説に出てくる人たちはいつも簡潔に、でもディテールまで描かれてて、「あーこういう人、いるいる」って今の自分の身の回りにもかならず見つかるような、そんな人たち。今回の又左衛門の他人や自分自身に対する思慮深さには驚かされた。なかなか自分が自分自身から隠してしまいたい、逃げてしまいたい事柄を正面から捉えられるものじゃないが、又左衛門は幼い頃からの友人の言葉を深く受け止め、自分自身の偽りを肯定して果たし合いにのぞむ。藩政における人間関係、夫婦の関係、家柄、権力、カネ・地位・名誉、、、どれもが現代の日本にも、アメリカにすらあてはまる普遍のテーマといっていい。
Thesisが終わった今でも、いろいろ「あれもこれもやんなきゃ」が多くて本に没頭してる場合じゃないんだけど、読むのをやめられない。それが藤沢小説の欠点だな、とあらためて思った。

My idea sketch for the movie,
Last week, he told us many times "Your statement is boring! Is it worthy to hear when you give me a call at 4am when I'm sleeping? Don't wake me up by your boring statement!!" I was thinking about this since now I'm working for the ad agency and when I worked with Lucy, who used to be a copywriter intern, she wrote many different copies but they expressed the same message. The difference between them were how to describe about what it is.
It was very valuable experience for me. I saw her memos many times, and was impressed how English expression can be different each other. So, at this time I tried to make an interesting, yet strong message by using English. I wrote so many times, more than 50 expressions about this movie. Then I picked out the best one (for me) which was "Beat the "typical" beauty."
As Bob always says, good statement (copywriting) brings us an appropriate visual. I came to realize it because Lucy and Bill, who used to be my boss and a creative director at my internship's company, showed me the actual process of coming up with an interesting statement. He told us that "To come up with good expression is torture. It's hard, tough and exhausting. You will know." I experienced it, so now I can understand what Bob is talking to us, but most of my classmates might not understand it since they have never seen how copy writers work on.
Bob Gill's comment for my idea was, guess what?! "Terrific!!" He said "terrible" for all the students but me!! Wow!!! I can't believe!! I'm really happy since it is almost impossible to get a comment like that from him. It has become a memorable day for me because I've got a compliment from the most respectable professor about my idea for my most favorite movie.
いろんなことを考えさせてくれる1冊。マジメに生きるだけでも、テキトーなだけでも、がんばってるだけでも、人間って魅力的にはなれないんですね。
At this time, our assignment was "To show your room." Every student brought very different stuff, and I brought above 4 sketches. My statement about my room is:
Upper Left: It's time to clean up my room because there is nobody to do it.
Upper Right: Too much bright always wakes me up, so I need a curtain.
Bottom Left: This room is too narrow for 2 people.
Bottom Right: Two very different people are living there.
He didn't like top 2 ideas though the visual of the upper left one is interesting, because my statement for upper two ideas said just "facts." He thinks "A fact is boring," and I totally agree with it, so I don't like the ad which says just "stats" because it's just facts. (ex: "5000 people are suffering from poverty in this city.")
But he actually liked bottom two because he was able to see something unique things about my room in terms of the visuals. But still my statement was not so exciting, and at first, I was wondering "What's the difference between a "fact" and an "opinion"?" but now I kind of came to realize about it. People use "language," "words," when they think about something. When we express our opinions, it is the only chance that people can be original, that our super weird professor said.
Oh, man! I have to jot this down. He said:

映画みたあとで、ハーレム邸キッチンにてねずねずを目撃したので、あんまり怖くなかったが、やっぱ汚いやつらだ、ひとさまの食い物を荒らしやがって — でも、大量のねずねずを大画面に投入しておきながらキモいと思わせないのはやはりPixarの底力。デザインがいいんですよ、いつもいつも。そして根底にあるメッセージがいつも普遍的なのが魅力でしょうか。家族愛、夢、希望、などなど、ポジティブな。「Ratatouille」ってタイトルもセンス良いし、頭いい人たちが作ってるんだな〜って感激。
今になってみると、個人的にはCorny Collinsのはっちゃけぶりがとてもよかった気がしてきた。James Marsden はX Men の Cyclops ですよ、信じられますか？あとZak！ハイスクールミュージカル観なきゃ！！
エンディングにかかる曲とか、「Mama, I'm a big girl」とかも入ってる！Queen Latifah が歌ってるのも感動！
